As she attempts to hide from her present, she is confronted with her past. A history of love triangles, family customs, and tragedy. All experiences are first hand when Blythe mysteriously, and unfathomably time travels. The root of the triangle is the original Blythe Barton, the current Blythe experiences flashbacks true to the past. While Blythe cannot explain these instances to herself, she has no intention of mentioning them to anyone. As she begins to heal, Blythe and Luke becomes business partners. Both seeking to save the estate.
I know I have mentioned that I am not a romance fan. Honestly, I think I've been lying. I really loved this novel. The story was original, heart-wrenching and fresh. I wasn't sure what to expect and I was quickly drawn into the story. I will definitely read more from Ciji Ware. It was a great read! The romance was sweet, honest and real. Blythe and Luke each have their own inner obstacles to overcome. They each have a bitter past, but each has their unique issues. I never thought this story was predictable, and cheesy. The only thing I suspected was the romance between Blythe and Luke. However, a romance novel must have a romance take place. I enjoyed it from the first few pages to the last.

ReplyDeleteWell, romance and romance. Yes there was romance in the Ware book I read, but it was still not a romance book so perhaps that is why you liked it :)
