Hi Everyone!
I really hope you are having a great long weekend! We had a long weekend last week, and I took 1 extra day off. It was great! I'm expecting work to be very quiet tommorow, most of my accounts are US companies and I'm looking forward to catching up on some work. I had a good reading week, so I will have some reviews to post! Thank you for being so patient with me.
Here is what I got this week for review:
The Queen's Vow by Isabella of Castile
The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty (2 copies, 2 different covers)
I also did a little ebook shopping...
Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick (ebook sale)
The Bellwether Revivals by Benjamin Wood
The Gods of Gothan by Lyndsay Faye
The Jeeves Collection by P G Wodehouse
The Newlyweds by Nell Freudenberger
The Uninvited Guests by Sadie Jones
I've heard The Chaperone is really good. The Queen's Vow was in my mailbox as well! Enjoy your quiet day :)
ReplyDeleteThe Chaperone cover definitely catches my eye. From a distance I can't tell if she's very Marilyn Manson or 1920s flapper.
ReplyDeleteThe Chaperone looks intriguing, and so does The Queen's Vow. Enjoy all your new reads!
ReplyDeleteQuite a lot of reading ahead of you. The Queens Vow and The Chaperone book look so good.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check them out. Great books.
ReplyDeleteI love the different covers of The Chaperone! You did some good shopping and should be in for some good reading!
ReplyDeleteI love C.W. Gortner's books. Looks like you're back on track! Looking forward to reading your reviews.
ReplyDeleteI loved The Chaperone...hope you enjoy it, too...and I've had my eye on The Uninvited Guests.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY MONDAY MEMES POST

I got The Queen's Vow too, I hope it is good!
ReplyDeleteThe Chaperone is so fantastic! I love that cover to the right for the book - it fits the protagonist!
ReplyDeleteOooo you got Hush, Hush, I'll be interested in your thoughts on that one. I think it's one of those love it or hate it type of books. I really enjoyed book 1, but book two posed a few problems for me. I still need to read book 3!
ReplyDeleteYou got The Queen's Vow! I'm soo jealous! I've loved his previous books and and this sounds so good too. Can't wait to hear your thought of it :)
ReplyDeleteGreat book haul! I love the cover for The Queen's Vow.
ReplyDeleteNice list of books this week. I liked Hush Hush although I wasn't a fan of the books after that but I still like the first one.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading,

I can't wait to hear what you think of The Uninvited Guests. I've been wanting to read that one. Enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteThe Uninvited Guests looks really good...and I've been curios about Hush Hush after hearing all the Talk about Patrick!
ReplyDeleteI think I have the sequel to Hush Hush...but I need that one so I can start that series!
ReplyDeleteThe Chaperone looks interesting! I will have to watch for your thoughts on it.
ReplyDeleteNice ebook shopping. I haven't read any of those yet but a few are on my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to love The Gods of Gotham. It's an amazing book! I am also looking forward to The Queen's Vow as well. I love great historical fiction, and this title has been intriguing me for ages!
ReplyDeleteI also received A Queen's Vow and I am devouring it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy The Chaperone - I read her previous novel, The Rest of Her Life, earlier this year and really liked it. The Bellwether Revivals looks great - I have it too and hope to get to it next week. And Jeeves; how absolutely spiffing!
