Ebook formatting issues Kobo issue?

I know that I've expressed my concern about ebook formatting issues that I have experienced. Here is an example of two more.

Notice the drop letter is actually dropped to the second line. This continued on EVERY page! This was only an issue on my KOBO Vox using the Kobo App, when I downloaded the DRM file to Overdrive, it looked normal.

Also, I purchased Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood, and the cover stated "Advanced Uncorrected Galley-Not For Sale." As a blogger, I know what a galley is.

I've opened a ticket with Kobo, I'm hoping they can look into these issues.

  4. Just about everyone in my book club uses and eReader and someone always mentions formatting issues.

  5. Ohh, that's so weird!! :O I don't have an e-reader of my own so I can't compare technical problems, but I don't think that should be happening at all. I can't believe that your copy of Born Wicked that you purchased has that message on the cover -- I've never heard of that happening before!

Thanks so much for bring my attention to this, Mrs. Q! Hopefully they fix it for you soon! :)

  6. I have found a few formatting issues with books that I have listed for Kindle. It seems that when the book is converted, gliches appear that aren't in the original file. It's very frustrating for authors. I haven't heard of "dropped" letters though.
