Thoughts:

I'm a little on the fence about this one, I enjoyed it but I had trouble connecting with the characters. I didn't really feel like travel was a main focus in the story line, it was more about figuring out life, growing up and relationships. Kika started out very immature to me, and I couldn't relate to her. I had a hard time understanding her, and it took me about half way through the book to start liking her. Normally, if I don't like the main character, I have a hard time reading the book but I didn't lose interest in this one. It was a quick read, and I really wanted to finish. Kika's  romance story line kept me interested. The ending was okay, it felt like it was wrapped up too quickly, and too neatly. Overall, I liked this one, but I didn't love it. I'm glad I read it, I had no trouble finishing it and I would recommend it. If this sounds like one you would enjoy, don't let my so-so review keep you from reading it. I'm at a different place in life, at Kika's age I was already married and settled. I just couldn't connect with her.
